The UPROOTED/BDC jazz dance intensive will physically explore the historical roots of jazz dance with some of the industry’s finest educators, including some of the film's very own artists and experts. Workshops will include African dance, Dunham-based jazz, Lindy Hop/vernacular jazz, commercial jazz, Afrobeat, Frank Hatchett VOP, theater dance, and tap. Participants will also receive a link to view the multi award-winning ‘UPROOTED – The Journey of Jazz Dance’ a feature-length documentary celebrating the history, lineage, and future progressions of jazz dance.
PMT offers a variety of different dance styles with high quality teachers. All of the instructors create a safe space for their students to explore and grow as artists. I've never been to a dance studio with staff AND students who are more caring. I mean these staff genuinely care for their students, and they make dance so much fun for beginners and pros alike while still challenging students enough to create lasting change in thier dance skills. It's nice to have a place to go to at the end of my day that brings so much joy and comfort! I couldn't recommend PMT enough!
